I would encourage the reviewer to attend a couple more services and dig a little deeper. For the past 13 years I attended Fellowship Bible Church in Arkansas. Whenever someone new came to the church I would encourage them to attend multiple serivces. The reason for attending multiple services is because our worship and the delivery of the message would change from week to week. One week might consist of gospel or traditional music another might be contemporary (even led by the youth group). The message might be extracted from the NIV with illustrations from movie excerpts or even Calvin & Hobbs. Other times we would hear the views and opiniions of great theologians.

I only point this out because I don’t think someone could attend once and walk away with “the” view of the church. Saddleback could be impacting lives for Christ in a big way. I may not agree with the various venues, but the goal is to get people to attend and then let the Holy Spirit take it from there.

If you had some facts about how the church is not working then your review might have more credence.
